In designing the Curl chaise longue, Piero Lissoni took inspiration from Michelangelo’s remark that he only ‘chipped away at the stone that was in excess’. As such, each piece has been revealed from block of natural stone using cutting-edge CAD/CAM technology to push the material to its limits – an engineering achievement as well as an elegant, simple interpretation of an established design.
