The René bistrot table features a top in Rouge du Roi, Verde Aver, Nero Marquinia, Giallo Siena or Nuvolato natural stone, with a choice of Lost Stones and honed finish. Our Lost Stones texture, designed by Piero Lissoni, was inspired by the idea of giving new life to abandoned, often broken, slabs of natural stone. We take these beautiful old fragments and, drawing on the ancient Japanese art of Kintsugi, piece them back together with golden seams. This technique, which has never before been adopted in the stone industry, results not only in a beautiful product which is absolutely one-off, but also gives new life to one of our planet’s precious natural resources.
