As the saying goes, one man’s trash is another’s treasure and the perfect example of this philosophy can be found in our Romboo texture, created from offcuts of the ever-popular Bamboo that was created by Gabriele Salvatori and his father, Alfredo, back in 2000. Cut into small, rhomboid-shaped tiles, the result is a product that contains an elegant hint of the Orient, with the clean, simple lines of Bamboo sliced on the diagonal. Placing these diamond-like pieces together creates a striking three-dimensional effect in natural stone that becomes even more dramatic with the addition of artfully-placed lighting. Perfect for a feature wall in a living room, lobby or restaurant, it also works beautifully in spaces such as bathrooms, where its fluid lines evoke that sense of calm and relaxation long-associated with the Far East.
